Have the same problem but nothings helping!
When I try the “configure signal” step listed above, the msg “Mobile network not available” pops up and I cant continue.
I have also tried all the other steps as well as shutting off my phone except the factory reset option which I’d rather avoid!
Any other suggestions?
Yea…. the whole dial a number or Check for updates to firmware seem like great options… until you consider these are attempts at fixing a network connection issue and neither of these things can be done without a network connection…
but thanks anyway… as I’m sure you wasted more time typing this article then I did dialing a number I could not dial or trying to update a setting that there’s no connection to update. And thank you Verizon wireless… as until last week I really never in my life thought there could be a worse mobile provider than Sprint. so at least I learned something new.
You can check for a firmware update via the manufacturer/service provider website and sideload it.
Also, not all codes require a network connection, i.e, data plan to work. The only reason, in such a scenario, where the codes won’t work is one where the SIM card is not valid or recognized. However, so long as the network is there… voila.
A general list of fixes lists all possible fixes. If you know for a fact that one does not apply to you, why would you try it? Why not try the others?
