Some people want iMessage on their Windows PC. Others just want to send a few texts from their computer. I don’t know about you. However, I’m in the second group. Here are some ways for you to send text messages from a computer.
Use Samsung SideSync
Do you own a Samsung Galaxy smartphone? Then, you may use Samsung SideSync to send SMS from your Windows computer or Mac. To do so, follow the below guidelines:
- Firstly, download and install SideSync.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to sync your phone with the app.
- Once complete, go to the messages section in the app interface.
- Read and send texts from your computer there.
Likewise, you may use Dell Mobile Connect to perform the same. However, you need a Dell or Alienware (Cough! Expensive!) computer. But, the good thing about it is that it works with both Android and iPhone devices.
Use Google Voice
Are you a Google Voice user? Then, you can already send and receive text messages via your PC. All you need to do is go to https://voice.google.com/. From there, select the option to “Send a message” and you’re good to go. Don’t have an account? Then, you can sign up on the website (you must have a phone that can receive texts to get the verification code).
Send Texts From A Computer Using TextNow
TextNow is a good alternative to all of the above. You get to register your own unique number and use it to send free text messages to the US & Canada from your computer. And, they also offer an iPhone and Android app. Simply go to their website to get started. It’s really that easy.
- Get your own phone number.
- Text and call from the web.
- Use your account to log in to their free mobile apps.
