Processor
With regard to the processor and power capabilities, there is a quad-core Cortex A7 processor running at 1.3 GHz. This processor is coupled with a Mali 400MP2 graphics chip which operates at 416 MHz. The memory (RAM) is 1 GB. These specs are standard in most Wiko Smartphones and the aim is to provide smooth user experience while maintaining an affordable price.
Storage
As far as storage capacity, this remains at a reasonable 8 GB and with the use of a MicroSD card (up to 64GB) you can expand this memory limit to store more media files and documents. This is the same amount of storage that we saw in the Wiko Rainbow 4G but less than the 16 GB storage space on the Wiko Rainbow Jam.
Connectivity
The connection profile is quite basic and lacks 4G connectivity, so mobile connection will be through 3G networks. It also includes a GPS antenna, Bluetooth, WiFi (it can function as a hotspot) and dual SIM card slot. There is also the USB port and headphones jack.
Battery
Finally, the battery has a capacity of 2.800 milliamps and is a LiPo (lithium-ion polymer) type battery. Wiko ensures that the Rainbow Up provides 380 hours – in Standby mode, 16.3 hours of use on 3G and up to 23.6 hours of use on 2G networks.
Review
Given the specs and features, the Wiko Rainbow Up is affordable and offers many of the modern features found on high smartphones. However, the device lacks 4G capabilities but, if the user needs this, there is also a Wiko Rainbow Up 4G version.
